All medicines primarily come from plants and everything we need is all around us.

Here are 5 super herbs - found in your kitchen cupboard - that will heal you of almost anything!

CUMIN

Cumin aids digestion, boosts the immune system, treats respiratory disorders, promotes skin health, prevents diabetes and is a super high source of iron! You can eat it like it is, add it to your food as a spice, add it to your water or make tea with it!

MINT

According to Ayurveda, Mint is one of the best medicines for Anemia and Malnutrition. To cure anemia, people in India still mince the mint leaves and eat that as a first meal in the morning with rice. Mixing the leaves with pepper and dry ginger will further increase your appetite!

MORINGA

Taken in the early morning, Moringa cures indigestion, gastric problems, and can also cure joint problems. This potent herb is also super rich in vitamin E. To enjoy it, just add half a teaspoon with your juice or smoothie. You can also add other flavours or sweeteners like honey if you like!

TRIPHALA

The famous Triphala is the mix of 3 super fruits: Amalaki, Bibhitaki, and Haritaki. It does wonders for gastric problems and digestion, stomach pains, lack of appetite. You can mix it with honey to help kids accept the taste as it can taste bitter at first. Then the body gets used to it and starts even to enjoy it as it becomes more and more balanced!

Side Note: Like many other ayurvedic herbs, Triphala is also good for hair and is one of the ingredients in the SOULTREE Hair Care range as well!

LEMON

Lemon will heal drowsiness, reduce heat in the body, and cure nausea (especially while travelling!). It's best taken in the morning with warm water and honey. Sip, strenghten your immunity and enjoy!
